Romelie performs the classics

I had mentioned that Romelie's favorite book was This Little Piggy which we'd borrowed from the library and then bought for her for her birthday. It's a collection of songs and nursery rhymes that have some sort of movement associated with them. This weekend, Romelie was singing songs from the book. I got 9 of them on film.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you...Romelie Ann Dancer, performing the classic song, Where Is Thumkin? (And yes, she is trying to say "Thumkin" in the beginning despite how it sounds.)

Next up, I hope you will enjoy "The Wheels On the Bus." I particularly like halfway through when she starts to sing the wrong verse and corrects herself. Because order is clearly important for this song.

Our third selection is the perennial favorite, Five Little Monkeys. Note the voice of the doctor and how it gets increasingly agitated as the rhyme progresses.

I hope these delightful songs are helping you all to feel happy...and if you're happy and you know it...well, you know the drill.

For our fifth selection, Romelie performs "I'm a Little Teapot." Apparently her teapot's handle and spout are reversed.

Pattycake Pattycake...you know this one...

Can you believe all of these songs were sung before 8 am on a Saturday? Here's the Isty Bitsy Spider.

Next, we present to you the lesser-known but still entertaining Round and Round the Garden.

And for the big finale, please enjoy Row Row Row Your Boat. Twice.

I hope you enjoyed the concert. Now get back to work.

Oh. My. Goodness. I only made it through three before I died of the cuteness. Which is a shame because I still have to meet this talented kid!!

Wow! That makes my week - what delightful sounds, motions and expressions all rolling out to match each song. Can't wait to hear her in person this weekend!
